Jena Nelson
Vice President and Secretary, Office Manager

Ms. Nelson brings to the AMSHORE INC team over 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Joining American Shoreline, Inc. in September 2004, her diversified experience with companies such as Texas Oil and Gas, Esenjay Petroleum Corp. and Genesis Producing Company provided a solid background in nearly all phases of an oil and gas exploration company.
Jena is a graduate of Del Mar College where she earned an Associate of Business and Accounting degree ranking in the top 10% of her class. She was also the former President/CEO of the Portland Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce and a recipient of the prestigious Chamber Tourism Excellence Award.
Jena is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Portland and held numerous offices on the Board of Directors including serving as President. In 2000, she was awarded the “Kiwanian of the Year." She holds a 10-year perfect attendance award. Being a resident of Portland for over 40 years, she has been involved in numerous community organizations, holding various offices. Jena is also a member of First Baptist Church of Portland.
Jena is a member of COPAS (The Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, Inc.). She is also a member of the ADDC (Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs) where she holds the office of Treasurer for the Corpus Christi Club.
Jena is the very proud mother of three grown children, Wesley, Bradley and Jennifer. Her pride and joys are her six beautiful grandchildren Kaden, Karleigh, Keaton, Brantly, Gavin and Kentleigh. Besides spending time with her family as top priority, she enjoys attending Kaden’s sporting activities and being his best cheerleader. In her spare time, she enjoys making arts and crafts, gardening, decorating, outdoor activities, Frio River trips. Her greatest passion is watching or attending OU Sooner football games.
Jena’s responsibilities at American Shoreline, Inc. include all aspects of Oil and Gas accounting, Joint Interest Billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, production revenue accounting, land/legal, Texas State Comptroller reporting, financial analysis, prospect income schedules, access and maintain all corporate drilling and wind , general liability, umbrella, workman’s comp, health insurance policies, payroll and all other office managerial duties.
